Diamonds and Pearls
Diamonds & Pearls is Prince’s thirteenth album. It was a major commercial success and produced four Top 40 singles. It is his first to be co-credited to the New Power Generation and it mixes hip-hop and rap with jazz and adult contemporary.
The album features members of the New Power Generation on almost every song, with “Thunder”, “Push” and “Insatiable” being the only solo instrumental performances by Prince.
Prince and the New Power Generation toured the album from April to July 1992.
