Dirty Mind
Dirty Mind is Prince’s third album. Initially intended as a set of demos, it was entirely recorded at Prince’s home studio.
It is his first album to include contributions from other musicians, with Dr Fink performing a synth solo on “Head”, and co-writing and playing on “Dirty Mind”. Alongside Prince’s established R&B style, some of the songs have a punk and new wave influence.
Prince toured the album from December 1980 to April 1981, followed by his first performances in Europe.
