Roland A-90

The Roland A-90 is a stage piano and MIDI controller used by Prince in the late 1990s. Released in 1996, it replaced the older KX88/MKS-20 set up inside the dummy piano shell and was first used on the Emancipation tour.
Outside of this set up, it was used live and in the studio by Prince in the Newpower Soul and Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic eras. It was combined with a Boss RV-3 Digital Reverb/Delay and a Morley VAI-1 Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah for clavinet sounds. It was also used by Morris Hayes and Kip Blackshire.
