The Fender Telecaster is an electric guitar played by Prince on his 1979-1980 Prince tour. By the 1980 Rick James tour, it had been replaced by the Hohner Madcat, although it was taken on the Dirty Mind tour as a backup. Its current location is not known.
Prince also had a Telecaster that was finished in red and cut into a heart shape. This is on display at Paisley Park.
Dez Dickerson also played a Telecaster in an “Antigua” finish on the Dirty Mind and Controversy tours.
