The Danelectro Fab Tone is a distortion pedal used by Prince in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Based on the DOD Grunge pedal, it was intended as a guitar effect. However, Prince used it as a bass distortion effect – probably influenced by Larry Graham – and it can be heard “Everlasting Now”.
It was also used live and in the studio by Rhonda Smith.
