The Boss TW-1 T-Wah is an effects pedal used by Prince in the studio. It is an envelope filter/autowah effect. It was used to process Prince’s Linn LM-1 and Linn LinnDrum drum machines on songs like “Rebirth Of The Flesh” and “The Future”.
It was possibly used by Brownmark in the 1980s as well. There is a rehearsal recording of Prince giving instructions to Brownmark on how to use an envelope filter pedal – probably the TW-1.
